Cost Containment
The pressure on institutions of higher education to control costs has never been greater. The duty and obligation to ensure sound fiscal stewardship is causing public institutions across the country to examine best practices employed by other universities and colleges, to assess current business services and processes, and to develop strategies to reduce energy consumption.
As a rural, two-year public college, Southern Arkansas University Tech is funded primarily by state appropriations and tuition and fees. Employing strategies to maximize all financial resources is critical to the operations of the college.
The purpose of this web page is to formalize SAU Tech’s cost containment efforts by posting current initiatives and providing links to other cost containment resources.
