Kevin Tate was born to the late Franklin and Earnestine Tate in Chidester, AR, where he was raised. He graduated from Camden Fairview High School in 1994. In February 2002, Kevin married Charity Tate, and together they have four sons—Kevin Jr., Elijah, Caleb, and Braylon—and one grandson, Mason. In September 2011, Kevin and Charity founded New Beginnings Deliverance Church in Camden, where he serves as the Apostle and Senior Pastor. He also oversees New Life Church in Sparkman, AR, and is the founder of Cleo Porchia Helping Hands Outreach Ministry in Camden.

Kevin recently worked for the Camden Fairview School District as a bus driver and mentor at the middle school, where he served as a role model and motivator for many, both young and old. His passion for ministry and community service is evident through his involvement in mentorship. Under his leadership, Cleo Porchia Helping Hands Outreach Ministry opened its doors to local teens as a weekend safe haven, providing a drama-free zone where they could hang out and have fun. These efforts were made possible through collaboration between his ministry, outreach programs, and the community.

Kevin helps oversee the operations of the outreach ministry, managing the distribution of food, clothing, and other goods to those in need. He has a heart for service and has led numerous community initiatives, including summer camps (offered at little to no cost) in the Camden and Chidester areas, food distribution campaigns, and regular clothing and Christmas toy giveaways. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kevin and his church provided cooked meals to many in the community, offering hope through drive-through prayer and hot meal giveaways. In January 2018, Kevin and Charity were inducted into the African American Commission of Camden Hall of Fame and have been recognized by city officials for their outstanding community service.

In addition to his ministry work, Kevin is an entrepreneur who has successfully operated several businesses in Camden, AR, and Dallas, TX. He and his family currently own and operate Tate’s Touch Lawn Service LLC and Tate’s Catering & Events LLC, where they host "Soul Food Sunday" and cater various events. Each week, Tate’s Catering provides free meals to senior citizens and families or individuals in need.
