Welcome to the SAU Tech Academy of Professional Cosmetology's Barbering program. Students in this program will gain basic barbering skills as set forth by the State Board of Barbers Examiners such as hygiene and sanitation, shaving, hair coloring, hair styling, hair cutting, and more within a salon environment. Additionally, students will also learn the proper communications skills necessary communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and guests. Students will complete 40 credit hours to earn a technical certificate and complete the required number of hours to sit for the state board license exams and become a certified Barber.
