SAU Tech Announces Speaker for Black History Celebration
SAU Tech is proud to announce Sidney Moncrief as the speaker for the College's annual event. Each year SAU Tech hosts a distinguished speaker for its Black History Celebration, which raises funds for the SAU Tech Foundation Betty J. Lewis Minority Scholarship.
Sidney Moncrief is a 2019 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee. He is a five-time NBA All-Star, a five-time member of the NBA All-Defensive team, a two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, and an NBA All-Pro. He is a former NCAA Division I head coach (ULAR) and NBA assistant coach (Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks).
Coach Sidney Moncrief also led an international team as head consultant in Beijing, China. He has served on the board of directors for a Fortune 500 company and as president of various retail auto dealerships. Sidney is the author of seven books; Sidney Moncrief: My Journey to the NBA, Your Passport to Reinventing You, Your Passport to Becoming a Valuable Team Player, Your Passport to Back2Basics Leadership, Your Passport to Manhood, All-Star Entrepreneur, and Reinventing You, No Risk No Reward.
He is managing partner of Moncrief One Team, a people development company, and Moncrief Game Changers, a nonprofit organization impacting youth and adults in the areas of Team Enhancement, Leadership, Workplace Readiness, and Diversity & Inclusion.
The 2020 event will be held on February 20 at 6:00 pm in the College's Student Center.
