SAU Tech Hires Computer Information Systems Instructor
Divesh Acharya will join SAU Tech as the College’s Computer Information Systems instructor for fall 2019.
Acharya received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur, India in 2015. While in India, he served as a Senior Functional Consultant from 2015 to 2017. Acharya graduated in 2018 from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas with his master’s degree in Computer and Information Science (Data Science).
Acharya has experience with computer projects that involve programming languages such as C, Python, and Java. Using the C programming language, he has worked on a library management system for cancer hospitals that collects patients’ data and compiles it to examine potential causes for cancer.
His research interests range from machine learning to network security. In the past, he has worked with algorithms, the use of artificial intelligence for data processing, data integration, network traffic/Web workloads, a design for cost-effective Web servers, cloud computing, and inventory management systems. Acharya has also given tutorials to students on the topics of network management and data mining.
