SAU Tech is proud to announce the recent honors received by Registrar, Wayne Banks. During the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO) virtual conference, Banks was awarded a distinguished service award and honorary membership for his dedication and years of service to SACRAO.

During his time with SACRAO, Banks served on numerous committees (Membership Relations, Nominations and Elections, Information Technology, Registration Techniques and Record Management, and as Vice President on the Executive Committee for Program and Evaluation. He also served as Vice President for Records and Registration and Member at Large Evaluations. Banks served as president of the Arkansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers in 2008.

Banks will retire from SAU Tech in June 2021 after a long career as the College's Registrar. He currently is serving as the SACRAO Executive Committee Vice President for Program and Evaluation.
